A. SOLVE PUZZLES ONLINE AGAINST HUMAN OPPONENT

In this page, players can interact with other logged-in users by asking them to solve puzzles. The host player is responsible for arranging the starting or the puzzle position giving conditions such as how many moves a "mate" will happen (e.g. mate in three moves, four, etc.) and white or black to move first.

Obviously, apart from the above this page can also be used to play games on-line against human player which could either start from standard or certain position.

As usual, only two players can play over a certain game but there maybe more games happening at the same time played by other users too. Hope you will have a good time. Enjoy SJDM WooDPushers and Members!!

B. ARRANGE THE CHESS PIECES FOR STARTING POSITION

In order to start from a certain position, you will have to generate an FEN notation first.

For generating FEN, click on this link, Generate FEN, and follow the steps below.

  1. Layout the pieces and/or pawns according to your desired starting position. To do this,
    1. Press "Clear Board".
    2. Then, start arranging the pieces by clicking the required pieces at the left board.
    3. Press "Ready" and a pop up window will appear.
    4. Click "Ok" if White is to move first and "Cancel" if Black.
  2. Copy the code that appears in the box, press the "Return to Game Controls" button, paste it on the FEN box (right side of this page) corresponding to your game number and press the "Host Player" button.
TERMS DEFINITION:

HOST PLAYER: Player who has the puzzle and wanted other players online to solve.
OPPONENT: Player who will solve the puzzle.
